"At the Dress Fabric Company, we like to keep our customers up to date with what's new, what we're up to, and anything new and gorgeous you need to know about!"

Dear Customers

I am continuing to make a good gradual recovery after my hip operation, and the shop will soon be open 4 days/week; as follows :

With effect from Tuesday 30th April, the opening times will be: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11.00am - 5.30pm , and Fridays and Saturdays, 11.00am - 5.30pm.  Closed Thursdays.

I hope you will find this helpful, when planning your next visit to the shop.

There is a good selection of new fabrics for the Spring / Summer Season. Lovely Linen mixes in plain and pattern;  Cottons, Batiks, Viscose, all in seasonal prints and colours. There are also new cotton Broderais Anglaise, in white and navy - which is proving very popular for tops, dresses and skirts. Easy care polyester prints are also available, and ever in demand.

Sewers are looking forward to new projects for the warmer months, and refreshing the holiday wardrobe. There are still further additions to come in too, over the next few weeks.

The Wedding Season is in full swing, with many chosing to make their outfit or have it made. It is becoming quite difficult to get something to buy, and to be sure there won't be another one at your event. A bespoke outfit solves that problem, as lots of guests are discovering. Do phone if you would like some help and information.

As usual, there are seasonal bargains to be found in the "Sale Corner"; always worth a rummage!

PEMBERTON'S SEWING  MACHINE COLLECTIONS will resume on Tuesday 20th February, and thereafter fortnightly ( ie 5th March etc ). Please phone/email for details - 0131-221-0464

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch with good wishes, and for all your cards and messages of support, they have been a real boost. I am really looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.

Best Wishes, Gwenyth.
